Our HR Manager joined Bowman Ingredients as Technical Administrator just as GMO ingredients became a hot topic. After a few years buried in raw material specifications she became Customer Services Manager for the Ingredients division before moving into a role as HR Manager firstly for the Ingredients division and then for the Group.

Our Operations Manager joined the company as a forklift driver. He then became interested in the ingredients warehousing operation, and started to assist for a few extra hours each evening. He moved to warehouse supervisor and managed the factory, learning how to plan and purchase raw material leading to a position of planner/purchaser. During this time he also became manager of customer services. After some years of managing customer services, planning and purchasing he was promoted to Operations Manager.

Back in 1994 Bowman Ingredients employed a new graduate from Reading University as a Laboratory Technician; 6 months later she became the Quality Assurance Manager. The next few years proved to be a baptism of fire in many aspects of quality, customer service and operations. You will now find her in Cape Town where she is General Manager Manufacturing of the South African branch of Bowman Ingredients.
